The Prism Players present A. R. Gurney's The Dining Room. The show is a mosaic of interrelated scenes -- some funny, some touching, some rueful -- in which the actors change roles and ages with virtuoso skill, portraying a wide variety of characters: from little boys to stern grandfathers, from teenage girls to housemaids. Each vignette introduces a new set of people and events. Dovetailing swiftly and smoothly, the varied scenes coalesce into a theatrical experience of exceptional range, compassionate humor, and abundant humanity.
