DIXON PLACE presents The Bug Chasers, a work in progress by Shelly Mars.

In The Bug Chasers, provocateur and social commentator Shelly Mars takes her audience on another dark ride into a surreal, hypersexualized and self-destructive world populated with "gift givers" and "bug chasers." With her signature blend of vaudeville and candid story telling, Mars offers an uncensored peek into a taboo and hidden corner of society that will make you laugh and cringe with unsettling guilty pleasure at the painfully destructive lifestyles and choices of these "gift givers" and "bug chasers."

Shelly Mars, a performance artist and drag king/genderblender, has performed her one-woman shows (Sex on Mars, Whiplash: Tales of a Tomboy, How Should I Live? and more) at The Kitchen, P.S.122, NYTW, and Naked Angels.

There are no performances Memorial Day Weekend, May 28-29.
