WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
In The Autobiography of God as Told to Mel Schneider, a higher being visits the earth in the hope that he can convince people to leave him alone because he hates "the incessant droning of the prayers." He decides the best way to do this is in a one-God show and commissions a mean-spirited, hackish TV writer/producer named Mel Schneider to handle the literary chores.
