WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Mimi Imfurst, Jake Lemmenes, Susan Campanaro, Jason B. Schmidt, Belinda Hodler, and Joey Army star in Thank You For Being a Friend, an unauthorized musical parody inspired by the TV sitcom The Golden Girls.
Nick Brennan directs, with choreography by Justin Wingenroth.

The show features a book by Brennan, music by Jeff Thomson, and lyrics by Luke Jones and Cisco Cardenas. Orchestrations are by Adam Gubman and design by Luke Jones.

In the piece, four women over 60 (Blanchette, the varicose-veined vixen; Dorthea, the brainy ball-buster; Roz, the lovable airhead; and Sophie, the wisecracking spitfire) are spending their golden years together in a bungalow in Miami. But when gay pop superstar Lance Bass moves next door, his loud outdoor sex parties keep the quartet of cheesecake-loving retirees awake. The solution pits the gays against the girls at the annual Shady Oaks Retirement Home Talent Show: if the women win, then no more sex parties; if the gays garner top prize, the sassy seniors must serve as the party's clean-up crew. Singing, dancing and hilarity ensues!

It's just another day in Miami for those cheesecake-loving gals; that is until former N*SYNCer Lance Bass (Joey Army) moves in next door and his rowdy all-night gay sex parties end up disrupting the girls' beauty sleep. When Dorthea (Jason B. Schmidt) demands that[...]
