WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The Alloy Theater Company is pleased to announce their inaugural production, Tell Me on a Sunday. Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic musical charts the course of a young English hat designer, Emma, newly arrived to New York City in search of adventure, success and of course love.

Originally written as a one woman musical for English musical theatre star Marti Webb, Tell Me on a Sunday was combined with Lloyd Webber's "Variations" to form Song and Dance, a two-act concert. The show, in a revised form, opened on Broadway in 1985 starring Bernadette Peters, who won a Tony Award for her performance. The Alloy Theater Company recreates the musical in it's original one-act form in the intimate setting of the Laurie Beechman Theater.
