Moliere's Tartuffe, the comic French classic with a theme that resonates even today, made its debut at Versailles in 1664 as Tartuffe, ou l'Imposteur. Hypocrisy, honesty and sex all vie for attention in this new translation by Paul Weidner, directed by Charles E. Gerber.
