TOSOS II, in association with Emerging Artists Theater and Out Professionals presents Tales Told, a duo of riotous bedtime stories for precocious adults written by Chris Weikel, and directed by Mark Finley. Gareth & Lynette is a fractured fairy tale loosely based on the Tennyson poem of the same title. It follows the travails of a wannabe knight who must verbally joust with a damsel more distressing than "in-distress.? She wants a knight to rescue her sister; he wants a quest to prove himself worthy. The last thing they want is each other. Penny Penniworth asks what if a severely short-staffed theatre company (with Royal Shakespeare Co. pretensions) decided to produce Dickens' "lost" epic, subtitled ?A Story of Great Good Fortune? The result is a labyrinthine romp through Victorian England in this gender-bending tale of wealth, deception, abduction, and unusual body parts.
