Theater For The New City presents Suck Sale...and Other Indulgences, an evening of plays and improv.

"A dash of homosexuality, puppets and multiple personality disorder accented by strong, innovative actors," so says playwright/producer Evan Laurence. The first one act, Suck Sale, is the story of a seemingly clueless 1950s housewife who brings vacuum cleaner salesmen together for a contest to win $1000. Her underlying reasoning has more to do with life's lessons and love. The second one act, Four Better Or Worse?, directed by Evan Laurence, is an experiment in the spiritually absurd -- nuff said, words cannot describe this fast-moving Beckett-esque, French farce-like romp, complete with alien life and spirit possession. The improv segments feature cult puppet heroine and holocaust survivor Edith the Head, as well as a three character scene performed solo by Evan Laurence.
