Elizabeth Streb and her Hardware Heroes will stage their Fall Season, STREB SLAM VI at S.L.A.M. (Streb Lab for Action Mechanics) their spacious studio/playground at 51 North 1st St., Williamsburg, Brooklyn. STREB continues to forge a new entertainment terrain, blending dance, gymnastics, physics and all the thrills and chills of the circus into a form they call PopAction. SLAM Show 6: Rough Footage, is a work-in-progress, a true laboratory for Action as STREB traverses the Action Frontier. SLAM Show 6 will test new materials and new ways to play with old and familiar objects that lend themselves to Action in surprising ways. At S.L.A.M., a sideshow/state fair atmosphere (including popcorn) prevails with Action Onlookers free to sit, stand, wander from event to event as they occur, often simultaneously, all around them.
