WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
SINGING IN MY SLEEP is a two-act, one-woman play with music, based on the life of Amelita Galli-Curci (1882-1963), one of opera's superstars of the early 20th century. One of the first singers to utilize the potential of recording to create a worldwide following, Madame Galli-Curci is played by Julie Halpern. The inspiring performance includes many operatic selections, as well as popular music of the period. -vn
