WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Cantiamo Opera Theater presents Sing a Merry Madrigal: A Gilbert & Sullivan Review, conceived and directed by Jeff Caldwell.
Fashioned from the published works of William S. Gilbert, Sir Arthur Sullivan, and the Bab ballads, the show is set at a modern day wedding rehearsal where the bride, groom and wedding party pass the time reveling in the lyrical and musical wit of Gilbert and Sullivan.
The revue also incorporates material from the 'Bab ballads,' a series of ballads written by Gilbert, over a ten-year period, under the Bab pseudonym.
