WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Six artists from a variety of backgrounds were chosen to begin work in the Ontological-Hysteric Incubator's interdisciplinary program entitled Short Form.

Starting in January, they each created 10-minute performances every month that were presented to the public. These performances were meant to stand alone as independent pieces of art, and also form a thematically-connected whole, which is presented in June, when the program culminates in a weeklong festival-style presentation.

The line up:

The Insomnambulist
By The Watson College Presents...
The Insomnambulist is an exploration of violence and change in the space of static moments. The absurd is used as a buffer around the drama to allow for a greater fight toward the tragic.

A Pale Horse, Death and Hell Followed With (A Lifetime Original Series)
By Everywhere Theatre Group
Four investigations of death, human cruelty and stupidity. A multi-disciplinary examination of modern American culture utilizing dance, theater, new media, and surprises written and directed by Leah Winkler and Teddy Nicholas.

What is Wild
By Eric Magnus and Barbara Eldredge
Responding to early conservationist John Muir's Wilderness Discovery books, What Is Wild stages theatrical experiments on what is essential, compelling and impossible about American Wilderness.

I Know
By Miranda k Hardy and Heidi Carlsen
Mark the first page of a book with a red marker, for in the beginning, the wound is invisible. In a defined, inversely related space, characters with secrets move through individual utopias thrilled, until the shell surrounding their perspectives slowly peels away, revealing dark human truths.
