WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
La MaMa ETC presents Shigeko Suga and Indalo Artists presentation of SHIKU HAKKU--THE EIGHT SUFFERINGS OF MAN. This evening which bridges performance art and dance theater, draws inspiration from Japanese legends, which are based for free-association in the creation of this work. The production will include Flamenco and Butoh dance, percussion, all in the Buddhist point of view with a touch of comedy.
