Shalom Dammit! An Evening with Rabbi Sol Solomon

2hr. 10min. (1 intermission)

Conceived, co-written and directed by Dave Lefkowitz and starring Rabbi Sol Solomon, Shalom Dammit offers the Rabbi's wit and wisdom on such topics as world religions, intolerance, Christianity, Arabs and Muslims, the Holocaust and other aspects of modern Jewish life. Punctuating the Rabbi's sermon will be such songs as "Then You're Jewish," "I Know What Goys Like" and "When Jewish is What You Are." Joining Rabbi Sol onstage will be musical director Richard Shore. Says Rabbi Sol about "Shalom Dammit!": "I want to be clear - this show is not just for Jewish people! Everyone is welcome. We just ask that gentiles use the side entrance and don't touch anything. But seriously, so much of life involves pain, suffering and discomfort, what's another hour or two?" Audience responses to the show's Nov. 2011 workshop included these quotes: "...sneaky, provocative, pointed and thoroughly hysterical!" and "Sacha Baron Cohen - move over!!!! Make way for Rabbi Sol Solomon!!"
