WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Spend a flamenco-infused Sunday afternoon with celebrated dancer-choreographer Sandra Rivera and her autobiographical solo dance piece Barrio Girl. A founding member of Ballet Hispanico, Rivera weaves together modern, flamenco, and Puerto Rican folk dance to depict the life of a Puerto Rican child who grows up in New York's El Barrio with the dream of becoming a professional dancer. Ideal for children five and older.
