A Newsweek article in February 2004 revealed as UN weapons inspectors scoured Iraq in search of weapons of mass destruction, the country's ruthless dictator, Saddam Hussein was hard at work - on his second novel. The Iraqi National Theater was planning to turn his first novel (Zabibah and the King) into a hit musical, the country's biggest-ever stage production.
