WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

What if the President of the United States found true love in the arms of a terrorist? From the Muslim-Jewish writing team Mike Wallach and Negin Farsad, who the Wall Street Journal calls "smart, funny, and fascinating," comes a romantic comedy that sinks the War on Terror in its own gulf of absurdity, Romancing the Terrorist: Tajiki Nights!. The U.S. embassy in Tajikistan is attacked and the American President is to the rescue... until he falls in love. This "terrorist" is too gentle to hate. His love is pure, and his intentions, anything but... Will this repressed macho Republican President acknowledge his feelings? Can he convince America that his love for a gay Tajiki liberation fighter is exactly the kind of moral values that the country craves? Can sultry olive skin and firm abs win over the hearts (and loins) of the American public? Part of the 2006 New York International Fringe Festival. Schedule Sunday, August 13 @ 4:30pm Tuesday, August 15 @ 8pm Wednesday, August 16 @ 6pm Friday, August 18 @ 10pm Sunday, August 27 @ 1:15pm
