Richmond: A Musical Fantasia is a comedic pop and R&B musical that tells the story of a group of students at a high school students in suburban Richmond, Virginia. It is set in March 1997 and it is both a satiric look at the culture of the late Nineties and the American South, as well as a send-up of the hometown high school experience. It addresses class, race, and sexuality issues, as diffused through the lens of high school.
