WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Fresh off successful runs at Dixon Place and Manhattan International Theatre Festival, Bob Katz, "The Folk Punk Woody Allen", and his rascally mangos present "Quasimango, the Lunchbox of Notre Dame", a one-man, ten-mango musical, in which our hero, a deformed mango, strives to win the affection of Notre Dame Fighting Irish cheerleader Esmeralda Kelly. As Esmeralda is traded to the never-winning Columbia University Lions, Quasi follows her from South Bend, Indiana to the North Pole to a cataclysmic climax at Columbia's football stadium. Sung and narrated by a single performer who assumes more than ten roles – nine of them mangos – this combination of folk, blues, rock, and rap tells a story like no other. Refreshments will be served! Party with the mangos!
