WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Pulp Alley, a fast-paced "stage-noir" rock musical by Nansi Barrie and A.F. Prendergast, takes all the stock characters -- the hard-boiled detective; the femme fatale; the dirty cop; the corrupt millionaire; the bored little rich girl -- mixes in comedy and international intrigue, sets them against an '80's Cold War background, and adds rock music. Michael Weitz directs.
