Well, in the description above intertwined is the operative word. This play requires intelligent thought and concentration as there are multiple plot streams, flashbacks, apparently unrelated but somehow analagous dialogue. It is not always easy to keep track of, nor to assess at the end, what the central theme or conclusion is, if there is one or, for that matter, whether a play which is not far short of three hours with an intermission is justified to yield it.. The acting is first class and the spare set more than adequate. It will certainly keep you thinking after you leave even if that thinking is trying to unravel it rather than dwelling on the significance of the plays multi-layered message.
