Prelude '06 gives audiences the opportunity to attend -- free on a first come, first served basis -- more than 20 short performances, readings and open rehearsal of new works by some of the most innovative artists who make unconventional theater, including: monologues from Will Eno's newest play; Civilians' actors showing a sneak preview of their new The Divorce Project; Carl Hancock Rux performing a piece of his Mycenaean, before its premiere later this fall; Cynthia Hopkins playing solo songs from her new project Must Don't Whip 'Um; and many others.
