WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Castillo Theatre is the American home of Heiner Müller, the famed avant-garde writer, Brecht protégé and East German dissident. Castillo launches its 2010 season with a Castillo/Müller picture book. An all African-American cast, under the daring direction of Gabrielle L. Kurlander, creates anew while reviewing the intensely political and creative 20-year relationship between the Castillo Theatre and the work of Heiner Müller. The production will feature original music by Fred Newman.
