WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Creative Artists Laboratory presents the world premiere of Perfect, written and directed by Tanya Klein, as part of the 10th annual New York International Fringe Festival.
A mother's neurosis explodes when her genetically engineered off-spring shatters her expectations. This satirical collision of a bewildered mom with a punk rocker, a narcoleptic niece, and a sex-obsessed doctor drives everyone to the brink in this farce about society's preoccupation with conformity. When teenager Sarah discovers her individuality, her mother, Mary, resorts to desperate measures to keep her daughter perfectly compliant. The resulting clash of lifestyles rapidly propels everyone involved toward utter mayhem.
