Pedro Santana For President is a one man multi media doculog based on the true stoy of Pedro Santana, a young man who grows up in the Bronx the son of an ex convict and a welfare mother. He overcomes unbelieveable circumstances to attend an Ivy League college and become first principal of the same school that labled him "special" and then is nominated for superintendent. What's next? "Pedro Santana for President."
Writer/Director, Ellen Cleghorne is an Emmy Award Winner and has appeared on and off-Broadway, the Sundance film festival, David Letterman, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Def Comedy Jam and recently returned from Europe touring for the USO. Ms. Cleghorne was the first African American woman "cast" member of SNL.
