WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The timely play Outside, staged by Nina Hein, explores the repercussions of war mixing various texts including interviews with former soldiers and accounts from the present wars. Voices from the past and the present, fictive and real, mix in this multimedia collage with design by Ana Martinez, music by Alan Sentman and Adeel Akhtar, Tami Dixon, Skyler Sullivan, and Regina Taufen appearing in multiple roles. This play reminds us to listen to the piercing silent voices in the midst of today's vociferous official speeches.
