WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
For miniaturist Theodora Skipitares, the most dramatic stories in the world are found in the origins of art and science. Her newest work, Optic Fever, dramatizes the legacy of Renaissance painters in terms of the way we see. Painters Leonardo Da Vinci and Paolo Uccello head a cast made of scores of puppets, ranging in size from tiny to life-sized. In this unique stage environment, Skipitares unlocks for us the Rennaisance's development of optical systems and the scientific essence of this era when mankind opened its eyes to new ways of sight.
