WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
One Hit Wonder is a coming-of-age pop musical comedy best described as the theatrical lovechild of Showgirls, Beautiful Thing, and Hedwig. Star-struck, small town boy Jack Harmony wins Video Dance Television's "Be a Star" contest and gets sucked into the outrageous world of pop sensation Sexxx Machine. Jack's lovelorn neighbor and conservative parents worry that he will be tempted by Sexxx Machine's deviant, rock 'n' roll lifestyle and, sure enough, their worst fears come true!
The musical is written by Ben Medley, with musical arrangements by Mike Shaieb and Brent Lord. Dan Rigazzi directs for Two Noses Productions.
