Based on My Love, My Love by Trinidad-born Black Arts author Rosa Guy with a Tony-nominated score by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, Once on This Island is a celebration of Caribbean culture through music and dance. The story begins just after a monstrous hurricane has caused a flood that ravages an entire village, leaving the devastated peasants to pick up the pieces to continue their lives.
