Nottthing is Importanttt feautres a non-narrative movie with two familiar but unrelated icons of American folklore - potrayed by John Jernquist and DD Dorvillier - set against a stream of live actions performed by Danielle Goldman, Martin Lanz Landazuri, Alejandra Martorell, Andrea Maurer, Paul Neuninger, Mana Nishimura, Peter Sciscioli, Otto Ramstad, Elizabeth Ward, and others.
The movie's soundscore, created by Zeena Parkins, fractures and connects the space between looking and listening. When the film ends, the audience is transported into a new environment, where the performers continue their tasks in darkness, while Zeena's sounds shift from being the element "in between" to being the space itself, the architecture, and everything it contained.
