WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Childhood is war, especially when it includes growing up gay in the 80's in the presence of AIDS and endless cruelty from classmates. Author/Composer MARC McBarron Kessler (as The Student) and Actor/Singer J. Michael Reeds (as The Pretend Friend) go back in time to the halls and hells of school in this endearing and autobiographical school bus ride of original songs and stories harvested from Kessler's own unconventional and surprisingly optimistic boyhood.
