DREAMING THE AMERICAS:
GLOBAL CHANGE IN PERFORMANCE
Initiated and Curated by Caridad Svich, Co-curated by Catherine Coray (NYU) & Daniel Gallant (Executive Director, Nuyorican Poets Café)

With pre-conference special event of The Internationalists' THEATRE UNCUT on MARCH 3, 2011 at INTAR, 500 West 52nd Street.

Join Kia Corthron, Cynthia E. Cohen, Stephen Duncombe, Erik Ehn, Teresa Eyring, Randy Gener, David Greenspan, David Herskovits, Philip Himberg, Chiori Miyagawa, Saviana Stanescu, Mac Wellman, Chris Wells of the 2010 Obie Award winning The Secret City and a distinguished roster of artists & scholars for the 5th annual NoPassport "Dreaming the Americas" Conference at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe. This year the two-day conference will focus on a wide range of contemporary works for theatre and performance, viewing arts and activism from a variety of perspectives. Keynote Speaker is Oscar-nominated screenwriter and playwright Jose Rivera. Performances from Rock Wilk and Fulana. Film There will also be a pre-book launches for the release of new volumes from NoPassport Press from Catherine Filloux, Linda Faigao-Hall, Carson Kreitzer, Ruth Margraff, Lisa Ramirez & more, and special documentary film screening of "Acting Together."

NoPassport was founded by playwright Caridad Svich in 2003 as a Pan-American theatre alliance & press devoted to action, advocacy, and change toward the fostering of cross-cultural diversity and difference in the arts with an emphasis on the embrace of the hemispheric spirit in US Latina/o and Latin-American theatremaking. www.caridadsvich.com/NoPassport.
