WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
After their recent national tour, Buran Theatre returns to The Brick for a post-tour extension of the original theatre work NIGHTMARES, featuring a massive cast of over 20 and a new musical soundscape from Albuquerque-based composer Casey Mraz.
Initiating at the birth of the modern sublime—the summer of 1816, when literary heavyweights Lord Byron, Mary Shelley, Percy Bysshe Shelley, and Jon Polidori convened on Lake Geneva to create their literary shapeshifters, namely Frankenstein's Monster and the Vampyr—NIGHTMARES takes on the overwhelming anxiety of confronting nature and ourselves in the 21st century, an era that seemingly reaches for zeros.
Join us at the October 19th performance to see selections from our next work, Magic Bullets, premiering at the Incubator Arts Project in May 2014.
