WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The JCC is privileged to partner with New York City Ballet as the company celebrates this brilliant choreographer. Robbins' work spanned 50 years in the theater--where he was the force behind Broadway's biggest hits, including Gypsy, The King and I, West Side Story, and Fiddler on the Roof--and at New York City Ballet, where his many ballets reflected his classical training and extraordinary sense of theatricality. The evening will include a discussion about Robbins with artists who knew him and have written about him, as well as excerpts from his dances performed by the NYCB.
