WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Otome Bunraku performs these two works with live traditional music and narration. Fearsome battles and a moving love story are enacted by this all-female company, who make its American debut as part of the 2000 International Festival of Puppet Theater, sponsored by the Jim Henson Foundation. These pieces are performed in Japanese with simultaneous English translation.
