WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Men Without Shadows is set in occupied France in 1944. A squad of five resistance fighters is captured and imprisoned after failing to liberate a village. One by one they are summoned for questioning. What price will they pay to preserve their secret? What price will be paid to unearth it? This show depicts the effects of war on people's individual humanity and how the decisions they make under pressure define who they are. This postwar existential classic by Jean-Paul Sartre takes on new resonances in our current political climate.
