WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
From the day they met in advanced jazz class, Melanie Adelman and Ellie Dvorkin have been inseparable - in ass-shaking, brownie baking, wine drinking, wedding-hating, and so much more. In this riotous world premiere, the acclaimed cabaret meets musical theater duo employ their sharp wit, infectious songwriting, and unparalleled stage chemistry to escape mothers, manias, ticking clocks, and the magical age of twelve. Join the eighties fab / nineties glitz / aughts pop pair as they uncover and untangle their true selves! Written and Performed by Melanie Adelman and Ellie Dvorkin. Music by Patrick Spencer Bodd. Directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel.

I want my own Little Pink Box
If 30 is the new 20, thank God for Mel & EL! Watching their struggles as both the adolescents they once were and the adults they are struggling to be in an endearing showcase of both talent and inspired neurosis made me want to run back to their Little Pink Box again and again.
Funny jokes, bawdy humor, and puppets aside the show gave me comfort in the knowledge that their is no perfect path to happiness in this world. All we can ask for is our own b*tch to keep us steady and give us the strength to laugh at each others mistakes.
There are flaws in the show and the transition from a more informal night of banter to a narrative journey grows rocky at times. But Melanie Adleman and Ellie Dvorkin take on the challenge to bring their show to the next level with the same heart and fearless courage that it seems they live their lives. It seems that nothing has stopped them yet and I personally look forward to see where these two go. I have a feeling there is more to this story.

Very Educational
Ladies, see the show in your early 20s so that you know what to avoid in your 30s. You can as well see the show if you are heavily pregnant and your husband is sitting next to you, holding your hand. Also, see the show when you are in the mood to find out about low bodily functions, especially, feminine organs. If you are a single lady in your thirties, proceed with caution. You might be having troubles laughing at the jokes in the best case scenario. Depending on your sensitivity levels, chances are, you might want to focus your attention on healthy anti-aging diets and exercising, traveling, learning a new language or attending a football game.
