Meester Amerika is part of Theater Resources Unlimited's annual free evenings of new musicals, each of which is followed by a "Dollars and Sense" panel discussion and reception. The panels feature prominent commercial producers, not-for-profit artistic directors plus general managers discussing the producing aspects of the play: marketing, budgeting, venue, etc. Meester Amerika, played against the background of the Yiddish theater circa 1920, is the story of a guy who gave up the chance to be a star,
but found a different way to shine; featuring
Michael Aurit, Jeff Dunn, Jerold Goldstein, Jeff Keller,
Dan Kohler, Amy London, Sheila Rubell, Steve Sterner.
The "Dollars and Sense" panel that follows features Donna Trinkoff, producing director of the Amas Musical Theatre (Little Ham, Lone Star Love); other TBA.
