WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Shakespearean tragedy you thought you knew takes on a brand new vision as fast food imagery from the last half century comes to life to depict the downfall of both man and society from its agricultural beginnings to what has ostensibly become a "fast food nation." With today's papers filled with fast food lawsuits, Mad Cow disease and the threat of obesity in America, Ideal Theatricals presents the world premiere of McBeth -- Over 2 Million Slain.
Using Shakespeare's actual text and transforming this classic into a timely compelling satire, MacBeth, MacDuff and Banquo are now migrant farmers doing battle with corporate America over health and safety issues. When supernatural forces interfere, one farmer will be aided in breaking free from the pack and taking a stab at becoming King of the fast food movement.
