"Masterpiece Theatre meets American Idol"

It's a first in New York City: The Manhattan Monologue Slam, hosted by the

outrageous Galinsky Brothers. This one of a kind theatre slam is a two set

show that features (in set one) ten exciting NYC actors, performing one

short monologue, in front of a jazzed crowd at the Bowery Poetry Club.

What's at stake? A one on one consultation with a NYC casting agent, two

tickets for any show at the club, the title and trophy and the challenge

of defending the "MMS Title" the following week's show. Set two features

the "Thirty Second Slam." It's an outrageous set of great short

performances. If you want to be in the "Thirty Second Slam" you can sign

up before, during and after the first set.

Performances are the first Monday of every month at 7:30 PM

National Championship

The best actors from New York and Hollywood do battle in the annual 2006 Manhattan Monologue Slam National Championships on Monday, December 4th at 7:00 P.M. Once a month over the past year, New York personalities the Galinsky Brothers have traveled back and forth from NY to LA hosting the country's only monologue slam, and are proud to present this East Coast-West Coast thespian battle for MMSlam national bragging rights, cash and prizes.
