Made in CataluNYa, Catalan Culture in New York is a festival organized by the Barcelona-based Institut Ramon Llull and featuring some of today's most innovative and celebrated Catalan artists in music, dance, theater, and poetry. Sol Pico stages powerful images of fear in a dynamic and humorous way. Tuesday, March 27, 2007, 8:30pm AGUSTÍ FERNÁNDEZ Extended Piano by Agustí Fernández, who is considered one of the most important explorers of avant garde music in Spain. POETIC BODIES Part I: The Little House Under Construction. Theatrical Piece by Pep Tosar. Part II: Systole, diastole. Dance piece by Raravis, Andrés Corchero-Rosa Muñoz Friday, March 30, 2007, 8:30pm ESTRAMP JAÇ The group performs a new work merging jazz with traditional Catalan and Mediterranean music. Saturday, March 31, 2007, 8:30pm GELABERT-AZZOPARDI COMPANYIA DE DANSA Glimpse Gelabert establishes a constant dialogue with a video monitor that mirrors the interior images of the dancer--his body, feelings, emotions, space, time, and thoughts--creating a window through which the audience can see into the artist's inner being.
