WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Lyrics & Lyricists: The Women of Rhyme and Song salutes the great American (women's) songbook. Midge Woolsey hosts an evening that also features special guests Carol Hall (Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas) and songwriter Julie Gold (Grammy Award winner for "From a Distance.") The event features songs by Dorothy Fields, Carolyn Leigh, Marilyn Bergman, Edith Piaf, and Barbra Streisand. Performers include Valerie Lemon, Carol Woods, Deborah Tranelli, and Terri Klausner.
