Young Soon Kim's new play, Love's Promise, explores the aftermath of the Korean War and subsequent political policy that has left Korea fragmented. The goal is to illuminate the public about President Bush's policies in Korea that turn a blind eye to families separated by the war. Kim's play mirrors the current war in Iraq and even suggests the frightening idea that Bush's "war on terror" may only propagate more terror and grief.
