WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Saturday Players presents the New York premiere of Love in Pieces: a play in four parts, as part of The New York International Fringe Festival. This dark comedy presents eight famous fictional soul mates in four separate vignettes. Ryan Brack and Lisa Gardner portray all four couples: Antony and Cleopatra vanquish their sexual boredom through cross-dressing. Ophelia lounges in a bubble bath while Laertes lectures her about her pretentious boyfriend. Orpheus retrieves Eurydice and discovers jazz music in Hell. Psyche nurses a newly de-winged Cupid and teaches him how to cut paper snowflakes.
