Why do we fall for the wrong people? A good question to ask when you're the love-struck penpal of convicted parent murderer Erik Menendez. While watching the Menendez trial on television, Scott developed a strange attraction toward the swarthy Erik, and felt compelled to contact the defendant in prison. He and his idol maintained contact throughout the trial and soon, Scott's relationships with everyone around him started to blur.
