WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

With Living Memory/Living Absence, Anida Yoeu Ali explores memory, exile and the pain of these experiences within the bodies of genocide survivors. The interdisciplinary piece includes poetry with movement inspired by Butoh, set against a video and sound backdrop of Ali's memories in Cambodia.

Presented as part of the National Asian American Theater Festival, Living Memory/Living Absence shares a double-bill with Guns & Tampons.
