In writer/director Franka Fiala's new work, Living in Virtual Paradise, Paradise is the most wonderful town on the planet of Humanita. There, the sun is always shining, the crime rate is down and the stock market is climbing higher than the highest mountaintop! And audience members are invited to take a ride on the rocketship Distant Truth, for a trip to Humanita so they can visit Paradise for themselves. But things take an unpleasant turn when their power-hungry leader whips the people into a frenzy by warning them of a dangerous threat without telling them what it is. Within days, friends and families are reporting on each other and no one is safe. Sound familiar? A multi-media work told with computer animation, video, music and live actors.
