WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Manhattan Children's Theatre presents their production of Kevin Kling's adaptation of Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse, adapted from the books, "Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse," "Julius, Baby of the World" and "Chester's Way" by Kevin Henkes. What starts as just another pleasant day for pals Chester and Wilson, enjoying their triangle-shaped peanut butter sandwiches, quickly turns upside-down and inside-out as Lilly, announcing she is "Queen of Everything," enters their life. But the change is good and they all soon become best of friends, three peas in a pod! Join them and many of your favorite characters as they take you through such wild adventures as the Lightbulb Lab, the dreaded Uncooperative Chair, and what to do with Lilly's new...yuck...baby brother, Julius.
Recommended for children 4 and up.
