Lights Up! consists of nine short plays, presented in repertory over four nights. The festival includes the work of New Dramatists playwrights Liz Duffy Adams, Neena Beber, Catherine Filloux, Silvia Gonzales S., Wendy Hammond, Arlene Hutton, and Barbara Wiechmann. The plays are short and simple; they explore multiple genres and distinct themes. Mental illness, verbal abuse, believing in fairies, and unrequited love are just a few of the subjects touched upon in an evening of storytelling that ranges from the light-hearted to the serious.
Directors Scott Ebersold, Amanda Kate Joshi, Michael Lew, Maire-Rose Pike, Ahmed Tigani, Lori Wolter, and Demi Williams work with an ensemble of twenty one actors.
