WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Ground UP Productions (Kate Middleton, Producing Artistic Director)presents the world premiere of Letter from Algeria, Michael I. Walker's edgy and exhilarating play, directed by Adam Fitzgerald.
Three young Americans meet while studying abroad in Belgium. When their wit, charm, and sex appeal casts a spell on a wealthy older gentleman, it seems like a golden opportunity to explore a new world. Letters From Algeria reveals the class envy and emotional manipulation that dwell just below the surface of the ex-pat life, where everyone is trying to reinvent themselves.
Sex. Drugs. Imperialism. Everybody's got something to write home about.

Frustrating show that never quite gets there
Frustrating show. Has potential but lacks focus. Good acting overall, but found the character of Ali unlikeable, unbelievable, and overly played. Needs more work and refinement.
